The Block, The Castle… and Beyond.


Hi everyone,

it’s been a while since my last post, so it’s time to share something new with you.

I’ve been working on maps: besides The Sewer (the default map you can play in the build), I’ve already finished the second one, The Block, and I’m currently working on the third, The Castle.


Right now, I don’t have a proper map unlocking system implemented yet, that’s why you won’t find the new maps in the build. To be honest, I’m still undecided: should I keep them locked at first, or just make them available straight away?

If I decide to lock them, I’ll need to choose how they’re unlocked: maybe by catching a special bot, or by collecting enough points from destroying enemy bots… any suggestions would be appreciated!

I’m also creating special spots in each maze (like the ones you can see in the screenshots). The idea is to avoid the maze feeling repetitive with just walls everywhere, and at the same time to give players some landmarks so they know where they are.



And honestly… it’s also the most fun part to design 😄
